Manufacturing Stages
1. Cleaned
The collected PET materials are thoroughly cleaned to remove any contaminants like labels, caps, and residual liquids. This step ensures that the recycled PET is free from impurities.
2. Shredded
After cleaning, the PET plastic is shredded into smaller pieces or flakes. This increases the surface area and makes it easier to process the plastic in subsequent steps.
3. Crushed
The shredded PET flakes are further reduced in size through a crushing process. This helps create a more uniform and fine material that can be used in various applications.
4. Spun
In this final step, the crushed PET flakes are melted and extruded to form fibers or sheets. These fibers or sheets can be used to produce a wide range of products, such as textiles for clothing, carpets, and packaging materials.
